The Mountain Man Survival Kit is part of a continuing family legacy of wildnerness awareness that goes back to the 1800's when reknowned Mountain Man, Caleb Greenwood used his expertise in trailblazing and survival to instruct and protect early pioneers on their arduous travel across dangerous terrain. Caleb, while camped in the Napa Valley, was called upon to provide relief to survivors of the Donner Party after their ill-fated crossing of the Sierra Nevada in the winter of 1847. His son, Britton Greenwood, captained the Second Relief Party to reach the stranded wagon train. That legacy of natural knowledge and preparedness was handed down from father to son, mother to daughter, generation after generation.
Caleb's great, great, great, grandson, Jerry Nunn now continues the family legacy with the development of the Aerial Rescue Panel and Mountain Man Survival® Kits. The kits include everything needed should a family suddenly find themselves stranded where help was not readily available. This Survival Kit will sustain up to four people (depending on pack purchased) for at least a 3 days.
At any moment, in an unexpected instant, you and your family can be faced with a disaster: flood, earthquake, hurricane, tornado, blizzard--or worse. The best defense against an unpredictable and potentially life-threatening situation is advance preparation. Seatbelts, carseats, and airbags guard against common accidents in vehicles, just as life vests and buoys protect in boats and planes. These safety items are useful to survive the moment of an accident, but in situations that could involve days of isolation or dangerous weather, only the Mountain Man Survival Kit provides the materials and equipment to keep two, four, or six people nourished and protected until help can be secured.
